CHALK4PEACE 2006 - September 16, 2006
CHALK4PEACE painted the plaza of the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Library
and the sidewalks of thirteen other DC Public Libraries.
Artists from the Student Council of Woodlawn Elementary School of Fairfax County along with dozens
of other kids of all ages lit up the plaza with their colorful renditions of peace.
Several of DC's top artists and arts educators joined in the fun;
the volunteers were a tremendous help and made this event a dream come true!
CHALK4PEACE thanks all of you worldwide!
CHALK4PEACE especially thanks Ms. Yvette Davis and the DC Library System for leading the way
for the second straight year with their enthusiasm and encouragement of CHALK4PEACE.
