The Community ARTS Therapy programme presented their second CHALK4PEACE event
in Cape Town, S. Africa on the steps of St. George's Cathedral, Saturday, September 15th.
Angela Rackstraw, Founder and Director of CATh, said that about 70 young artists joined in
to make the steps of the famed cathedral as colorful as they've ever been! Rain did nothing to
dampen the enthusiasm of the artists, who represented the continent of Africa in CHALK4PEACE.
Our thanks and appreciation go out to St. George's Cathedral for kindly encouraging CHALK4PEACE
and to Ms. Peggy Phelps, who donated fine drawing materials for the artists for the second year.
Mr. Rackstraw also set in motion the CHALK4PEACE event in Cork, Ireland, when she told her friend,
Catherine Phillips, who launched the event through the Cork School Project.
